What is it with people online and manipulation? What compels to such lengths for adoration and affection? Is it a lack of a stable IRL life? A deepseated need to inflict pain? Furthermore, why don't people who get called out and ostrasized for being manipultive ever just...leave? You can unadd them, block them, whatever, and they seem to just make an alternate account and try to get back into your head like it never mattered to begin with. I could never understand it, personally. How badly treated does one be to become a toxic and abusive manipulator? Viciousness is to be expected, it is the one language humanity speaks with stark clarity; flashing teeth and glaring eyes are second nature to us. But viciousness and attacks are forward, direct. Manipulation, deciet; these things cut deeper, create invisbile wounds that take many days and weeks to heal, and all for what? A little attention? Is that truly worth destroying a friendship or relationship in such a nasty way? Normal people would say no, or at least I would. There are much more healthy ways to garner attention; creation, helpfulness, trying to be the best version of oneself achieveable. And yet these miserable sods choose the exact thing that destoys a reputation and nets them negative attention, while also losing their friends. For shame.
